Steve Carell, Patricia Clarkson, Seth Meyers, Paul Reubens, et al. Set for New Yorker Festival

Actors Steve Carell, Patricia Clarkson, Seth Meyers, and Paul Reubens (aka Pee-wee Herman) will be among the participants in this year’s New Yorker Festival, according to The New York Times. The event, which runs October 1-3, will feature a wide range of artists, politicians, and culture-makers in conversation with contributors to The New Yorker magazine.

Additional participants will include authors Neil Gaiman and Stephen King; musician James Taylor; filmmaker Werner Herzog; and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Among the topics for panel discussions are Saturday Night Live, vampires in popular culture, and the rise of the political right.

The full line-up of the New Yorker Festival will be announced on September 6. Tickets will go on sale on September 10.
