Musicals by Adam Gwon, Joe Iconis, Julia Jordan, Peter Mills, et al. Set for 2011 NAMT Festival

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced the eight musicals selected to be part of the 23rd Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28 at New World Stages.

Selections incluce Bernice Bobs Her Hair, with book by Julia Jordan, music by Adam Gwon, and lyrics by Jordan and Gwon; Bloodsong of Love, with book, music, and lyrics by Joe Iconis; Dani Girl, with music by Michael Kooman, and book & lyrics by Christopher Dimond; The Dogs of Pripyat, with music by Aron Accurso, lyrics by Jill Abramovitz, and book by Abramovitz and Leah Napolin, based on the play by Napolin; Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge, with music & lyrics by Peter Mills, book by Mills and Cara Reichel, adapted from J.M. Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World; notes to MariAnne, with book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer & Dan Lipton; Pregnancy Pact, with book & lyrics by Gordon Leary, with music by Julia Meinwald; and Watt?!?, with book & lyrics by David Javerbaum, and music by Brendan Milburn.

A limited number of tickets will be made available to the public for free on a standby basis.
