Donna McKechnie to Perform My Musical Comedy Life on July 28 at Laurie Beechman Theatre

Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie will offer a one-night-only performance of her solo show My Musical Comedy Life at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on July 28 at 8pm. Richard Jay-Alexander has directed the piece, which features musical direction by Ian Herman.

In the show, the performer offers numbers by such musical theater writers as Stephen Sondheim, Ed Kleban and Marvin Hamlisch, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Cy Coleman, as well as ones by such songwriters including Francesca Blumenthal and Ann Hampton Callaway.

McKechnie won a Tony Award for her performance as Cassie in A Chorus Line. Her other Broadway credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Promises, Promises, Company, On the Town, and State Fair. As concert artist and cabaret performer, she has appeared throughout the U.S. and internationally.
