Broadway veteran Tituss Burgess and American Idol contestant Zak Resnick will perform a free concert as the final installment of Sing for Hope’s “Pop-Up Piano” project. It will take place as part of Lincoln Center’s “Meet the Artist Saturdays” series on Saturday, July 2 at 11am.
The concert features the baby grand piano decorated by New York artist Scott Taylor that is on-site for the public to play through July 2. It will include Broadway and pop tunes, as well as audience participation and reach out to all ages from 2 to 82.
In related news, Lincoln Center will be presenting several other free events in July, including Jazz Piano Phenome Jonathan Batiste playing New Orleans jazz and more July 7 at 8:30pm; The Enchanted Wanderer HD film screening of Mariinsky (Kirov) Opera production July 14 at 8:30pm: singer/songwriter Vaneese Thomas’ A Tribute to the Women of Soul July 21 at 8:30pm; and The 42nd Infantry Division Band with a salute to America July 28 at 8:30pm.
