Famed jazz vocalist Kurt Elling will headline Styne and Sondheim, the kick off to the 92nd St Y's annual Jazz in July festival, at 8pm on Tuesday, July 21. The festival, which runs through July 30, is under the direction of award-winning pianist Bill Charlap.
This year's line-up includes A Helluva Town: New York Jazz July 22), as well as tributes to Oscar Peterson (July 23), Gerry Mulligan (July 27), and Vince Guaraldi (July 28), and a Saxophone Summit (July 30).
Guest artists will include Barbara Carroll, Jay Leonhart, Ken Peplowski, Bucky Pizzarelli, Eric Reed, Ted Rosenthal, Sandy Stewart, Carol Woods, and many more.
