Donna Lynne Champlin, Kara Lindsay, Max Von Essen to Be Featured on Lost Broadway…and More CD

Becky Barta, Donna Lynne Champlin, Joan Crowe, Stephen “Mo” Hanan, Kara Lindsay, Kate Loprest, Michael Marcotte, Jill Paice, Marie Pruitt, Steve Ross, Heather Sullivan, K.T. Sullivan, Max Von Essen, Steven Wilde, and William Zeffiro will be among the artists featured on Lost Broadway….And More: Volume 4, Women Theatre Composers, to be released by Footlight Records on April 21.

The album will focus on women songwriters such as Kay Swift, Marian Grudeff, Rachel Portman, and Judith Steir.


Among the songs on the disc are “Country Girls” and “Enemy” from Little House on the Prairie, “Fashion Rule” and “What Is Forever” from Only A Kingdom, “I See It in You” and “Growing Up” form National Velvet, “Montreal” from Hellzapoppin ’67, “The House Where I Was Born” form Paris ’90, “Nobody Breaks My Heart” from Fine and Dandy, and “Can’t We Be Friends” from The Little Show.


The disc will also feature composer Grudeff and collaborator Ray Jessell performing “A Veritable Work of Art” and “Five Senses/Finding Words for Spring” from Baker Street.
