William Hurt, Isabella Rossellini Set for Late Bloomers Movie

William Hurt and Isabella Rossellini will star in French director Julie Gavras’ Late Bloomers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie uses a screenplay by Olviier Dazat and Gavras.
The film centers on an aging couple who react to their senior status in different ways. The company will also feature Doreen Mantle, Kate Ashfield, Joanna Jumley, and Simon Callow.
Hurt received a Tony Award nomination for the Broadway production of Hurlyburly and won the Academy Award for Kiss of the Spider Woman. Rossellini starred in Terrence McNally’s The Stendahl Syndrome Off-Broadway. Among her film credits are Blue Velvet, Death Becomes Her, and The Saddest Music in the World.
