Award-winning actress Tovah Feldshuh, currently starring on Broadway in Irena’s Vow, will host this year’s Broadway Beauty Pageant, to take place at Symphony Space on Monday, April 20 at 8:00 pm.

Ana Gasteyer, Beth Leavel, Charles Busch, and Seth Rudetsky will serve as guest judges. The previously announced Michael Urie will no longer be a participant.

The event, formerly titled Mr. Broadway, will feature male cast members representing their respective Broadway shows, competing for the title crown through talent, interview and swimsuit competitions. The pageant is written and conceived by Jeffery Self, and will be directed by Ryan J. Davis with musical direction by Sonny Paladino. The event is an annual benefit of New York’s Ali Forney Center.

The 2009 contestants include James Brown III (Mr. Little Mermaid), Adam Fleming (Mr. Wicked), Anthony Hollock (Mr. Hair), Tony James (Mr. Lion King), David Larsen (Mr. Billy Elliot), Jonathan Sandler (Mr. Mary Poppins), and John Selya (Mr. Guys and Dolls). The Broadway Beauty Pageant’s past winners, Frankie James Grande (Mr. Mamma Mia) and Marty Thomas (Mr. Xanadu), will also perform.
