PHOTO FLASH: Clay Aiken, Dan Butler, Debra Monk, Bobby Steggert, Lillias White, et al. at Broadway Backwards

Clay Aiken, Hinton Battle, Dan Butler, Robin De Jesus, Jose Llana, Debra Monk, Brian Charles Rooney, Bobby Steggert, Lillias White, Kirsten Wyatt, and Tony Yazbeck were among the performers at Broadway Backwards 6, held at the Longacre Theatre on Monday, February 7.

The annual event featured performers singing tunes usually associated with the opposite gender. The event’s creator, Robert Bartley, directed and choreographed the show, which featured musical direction by Chris Haberl.

Additional performers included F. Murray Abraham, Farah Alvin, Brooks Ashmanskas, Tituss Burgess, Len Cariou, Alan Cumming, Colman Domingo, Mandy Gonzalez, Jan Maxwell, Denis O’Hare, Karen Olivo, Mo Rocca, and Jason Tam.

The event was presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, and will benefit both organizations. It raised a record-breaking $281,243.
