Taylor Mac and his band will offer a single performance of The 1920s at Joe’s Pub on February 12 at 9pm.
The performance is part of Mac’s development process for The History of Popular Music, a 24-hour concert that will consist of over three hundred songs from the last 24 decades which he plans to offer in the spring of 2013. For this concert, Mac and his band will concentrate on tunes written during the 20s.
In addition, Academy Award winner Marketa Irglova will offer two concerts at the venue on February 15 and February 22 at 7pm. Irglova will be performing selections from her debut solo album, Anar (ANTI), as well as songs from the movie and the forthcoming Broadway musical Once.
