Harry Connick, Jr. to Join Cast of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU

Emmy and Grammy Award winner Harry Connick, Jr. will join the cast of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, according to a report on TVGuide.com.

Connick will play a prosecutor who is assigned a case with Detective Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay). As they work together, the two discover they come to realize that they make a good team.

Connick is currently starring in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever on Broadway. Connick received Tony nominations for his performance in The Pajama Game and for the score of Thou Shalt Not. He has appeared in such films as Bug, Memphis Belle, and Little Man Tate. He co-starred in the NBC series Will & Grace and won an Emmy Award for his special Harry Connick, Jr.: Only You in Concert.
