 | Frank Langella in Frost/Nixon
(© Universal Pictures) | Ron Howard's film version of Peter Morgan's play Frost/Nixon has received a Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year nomination from the Producers Guild of America. The awards will be presented in Los Angeles on January 24.
It will compete against The Dark Knight, Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Milk for the organization's coveted top honor.
Based on the real-life interviews between former U.S. president Richard Nixon and television talk show host David Frost, the film stars Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, Matthew MacFayden, Sam Rockwell, and Rebecca Hall. In less than a month of very limited release, it has earned over $6 million.
