Nick Spangler, who plays the role of Matt in the current Off-Broadway revival of The Fantasticks, and his sister Starr, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, are this year's winners of the Emmy Award-winning CBS-TV reality show The Amazing Race, and will share the one million dollar grand prize. The series finale aired on Sunday, December 7.

For this edition, the 13th in the series, teams began their journey at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and then traveled over 30,000 miles in 23 days through such countries as Brazil, Russia, and India.

Spangler's other theater credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, La Cage Aux Folles, and The Last 5 Years.
