Classic Stage Company has announced preliminary details for its 2007-2008 season, which will begin Shakespeare's Richard III (October 31-December 9). The production will reunite star Michael Cumpsty and director Brian Kulick (the company's artistic director), who have previously collaborated on Hamlet on Richard II.

Next up, Walter Bobbie, who won the Tony Award for directing the revival of Chicago, will helm the world premiere of David Ives' New Jerusalem (January 2-February 10). This new work, by the author of All in the Timing and Polish Joke, focuses on the expulsion of the 17th-century Jewish philosopher Baruch de Spinoza from Amsterdam.

CSC's final mainstage production will be a revival of Anton Chehkov's classic drama The Seagull starring Oscar winner Dianne Wiest as Arkadina (March 5-April 13). No director has yet been named.

In addition, CSC will once again present The First Look Festival, The Young Company, and the Open Rehearsal Series. For more information, call 212-677-4210 or visit www.classicstage.org.
