Kate Shindle and Shayna Steele will run in this year's New York City Marathon, and are organizing a team from the theater community, to raise funds for Broadway Impact. The marathon will take place on November 7, and the deadline for registering for the Marathon is March 15.

Shindle's Broadway credits include Legally Blonde and Cabaret, and she is also known for winning the Miss America pageant in 1998. Steele's Main Stem credits include Rent and Hairspray.

Broadway Impact is a non-profit organization of actors, directors, stage managers, fans, and producers, which advocates for marriage equality.
