Rufus Wainwright’s New Album Out of the Game to Be Released May 1

Rufus Wainwright’s new album, Out of the Game, will be released from Decca on May 1.

The studio album is being produced by Mark Ronson, and features twelve songs. Musicians on the album include the Dap-Kings; Wilco’s Nels Cline; Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs; Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow; Sean Lennon and Martha Wainwright.

Wainwright’s new opera, Prima Donna, will be presented by New York City Opera at the Brooklyn Academy of Music next month. He has also composed a musical adaptation of Shakespeare Sonnets with director Robert Wilson. His previous albums include Poses, Release the Stars, Rufus Does Judy At Carnegie Hall, and Songs For Lulu.
