Obie Award winner David Drake will bring his new show My Tawny Valentine to the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café, February 17-March 2. The show will be directed by David Briggs and feature musical direction by Lance Cruce.

The work marks the unheralded return of Tawny Heatherton (played by Drake), a lovably eccentric showbiz survivor and “one hit wonder” of the disco zeitgeist of the early 1980, who recalls her life in show business and reuniting with her long-lost aunt Joey Heatherton at the Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino.

Drake’s many stage credits include The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Pageant, End of the World Party, A Language of Their Own, and The Divine Sister.
