Several original cast members from the cult-classic musical Reefer Madness will reunite on April 19 and 20 for a series of concerts at 54 Below. With music by Dan Studney and a book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy, the shows are directed by Ilana Ransom Toeplitz and produced by Shoshana Feinstein.

Leading the company is Christian Campbell, who played Jimmy in the original Los Angeles and 2001 off-Broadway productions and the subsequent 2005 film adaptation. Campbell is joined by Robert Torti, who played Jack/Jesus onstage in Los Angeles and New York and in the film; Harry S. Murphy, the Lecturer in Los Angeles; John Kassir, Ralph Wiley in Los Angeles and New York; and Amy Spanger, Sally in the film. Additional cast members will be announced shortly.

Inspired by the 1936 American propaganda film of the same name, Reefer Madness tells the story of clean-cut Jimmy Harper, who falls prey to the drug known as marijuana, which sends him on a downward spiral of sex, violence, and jazz. It premiered at the Hudson Theater on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles in 1999 before moving to New York's Variety Arts Theatre, where it played a monthlong run in 2001. Showtime released the film adaptation in 2005.
