Lesli Margherita, Victoria Clark, and More Win 2016 New York Musical Festival Awards

Heath and Kim Saunders’ ”Newton’s Cradle” took home the award for Best Musical.

The New York Musical Festival, previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, has announced the winners of the 2016 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were presented August 7 at 42West.

The 2016 NYMF Award for Best Musical was awarded to Newton's Cradle, which also took home the most total awards, including Outstanding Direction for Tony-winning actress Victoria Clark. Other new musicals that took home multiple prizes include Dust Can't Kill Me and A Scythe of Time, with Broadway actress Lesli Margherita of Scythe tying with Andrea Jones-Sojola of Newton’s Cradle for Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role.
