Waitress Star Jessie Mueller and Andy Truschinski to Be Honored by A.R.T./New York

The pair will be celebrated at the organization’s spring gala.

Waitress star Jessie Mueller and Broadway vet Andy Truschinski will be honored by the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York at the organization's annual gala, to be held April 11 at Tribeca Rooftop. Drama Desk nominee Julie Halston will serve as the event's emcee.

Tony winner Mueller and Truschinski will receive the Abe L. Blinder Award for public service and arts education. Acoustician Joe Solway and the international multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm, Arup, of which Solway is associate principal, will receive the Kathy and Howard J. Aibel Award for theatrical innovation and excellence.

The 2016 Spring Gala will support A.R.T./New York’s funding, training and real estate services for its 360 member theaters. The event's honorary cochairs include Waitress creators Sara Bareilles, Jessie Nelson, and Diane Paulus; director Pam MacKinnon; and architect Toshiko Mori.
