Grammy-nominated performer Michael Feinstein and New York cabaret space Feinstein's/54 Below have announced plans to unite, creating Feinstein's/54 Below. The renamed venue will continue present iconic and rising stars from the worlds of Broadway and popular music, and now Feinstein will perform engagements throughout the year, as well as present some of his famous friends.

Michael Feinstein will play his debut engagement at Feinstein's/54 Below from December 20-30.

John Iachetti, former general manager of the now-closed Feinstein's at the Regency, will join the Feinstein's/54 Below staff as general manager of the restaurant operation. Jennifer Ashley Tepper will continue as director of programming, curating and overseeing the shows each season.

Michael Feinstein is best known for his PBS series Michael Feinstein's American Songbook. He has appeared on Broadway in a series of self-titled concerts, as well as with Dame Edna in All About Me. For several years, his eponymous nightclub at the Regency Hotel served as a New York after-hours hangout. The venue closed in 2012, the same year 54 Below opened its doors.

"My partners, Tom Viertel, Richard Frankel and I are honored to begin this exciting new collaboration with Michael adding additional vision and creative energy to 54 Below," said 54 Below proprietor Steve Baruch in a statement. "We look forward to a successful, starry alliance together, one that will take our great venue to higher heights."
