Cast, Creative Team Set for Resonance Ensemble’s 23 Knives and Caesar & Cleopatra

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for Resonance Ensemble’s productions of Christopher Boal’s 23 Knives and George Bernard Shaw’s Caesar & Cleopatra, which will be presented in rotating repertory, January 11-February 7.

23 Knives, to be directed by Eric Parness, is set in 44 B.C. and looks at the aftermath of Julius Caesar’s assassination. The cast will include Brian D. Coats, Todd Alan Crain, Rafael Jordan, Patrick Melville, and Ryan Tramont. The creative team will include Sarah B. Brown (scenic design), Sidney Shannon (costume design), Pamela Kupper (lighting design), and Nick Moore (original music and sound design).

Caesar and Cleopatra, adapted by Eric Overmyer and directed by Kent Paul, is set four years before Julius Caesar sailed to Rome to meet his untimely end, and chronicles his relationship with the young Queen Cleopatra. The cast will include Pun Bandhu, Alberto Bonilla, Chris Ceraso, Michael Chmiel, Rand Guerrero, Christopher Hayes, Rafael Jordan, Jon Levenson, Geraldine LiBrandi, Joe MacDougall, Sophie Maerowitz, Brad Makarowski, Jessica Myhr, Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Stockton, Grant James Varjas, and Maxwell Zener. The creative team will include Sarah B. Brown (scenic design), Michelle Eden Humphrey (costume design), Pamela Kupper (lighting design), Robert C. Rees (original music), and Nick Moore (sound design).
