Bologna to Join Cerveris, Hoff, Lewis, Ripley, Scott, et al. for Tommy Reunion Concert

David Bologna, who alternates in the role of Michael in Broadway’s Billy Elliot: The Musical will take on the title role in the special 15th anniversary reunion concert of the Broadway production of The Who’s Tommy, will be held at 8pm on Monday, December 15 at the August Wilson Theatre. The event, to be produced by the PATH Fund and Rockers on Broadway, will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Broadway Dreams Foundation, and the Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation.

The show will feature original cast members Michael Arnold, Anthony Barile, Bill Buell, Maria Calabrese, Victoria Cave, Michael Cerveris, Tracy Nicole Chapman, Paul Dobie, Jonathan Dokuchitz, Tom Flynn, Cheryl Freeman, Romain Fruge, Jody Gelb, Christian Hoff, Todd Hunter, Paul Kandel, Donnie Kehr, Tracey Langran Corea, Lisa Legilliou, Norm Lewis, Marcia Mitzman, Lee Morgan, Alice Ripley, Sherie Rene Scott, and Timothy Warmen, along with national tour star Destan Owens.

Kehr will direct the production, which will feature original show projections by Wendell Harrington, photos by Peter Cunningham, and musical direction and vocal arrangements by Joe Church.

The original production was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and took home five, including ones for director Des McAnuff, choreographer Wayne Cilento, and Who members John Entwistle and Pete Townshend, who wrote the score.
