Felciano, Dussault to Join O’Hara in Sunday in the Park With George

Tony Award nominees Manoel Felciano will play George and Nancy Dussault will be the Old Lady opposite Kelli O’Hara as Dot in the Reprise! Broadway’s Best production of Sunday in the Park With George, January 30-February 11 at the UCLA Freud Playhouse. The show will be directed by Jason Alexander, with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach.

The musical, which features a score by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, revolves around the famed French artist Georges Seurat in Act I. In Act II, the focus switches to his great-grandson, George, who becomes an artist as well. The original 1984 Broadway production starred Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters and received 10 Tony nominations, including Best Musical. The show also won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The show’s cast will also include Katy Blake, Elizabeth Brackenbury, Matthew Patrick Davis, Jacqueline Emerson, Nancy Hess, Sarah Knowlton, Frank Kopyc, Kristofer McNeely, Gregory North, Brent Schindele, Sean Smith, Katherine Von Till, and Sam Zeller. The creative team includes Bradley Kaye (sets), Heather Carleton and Bethany Jane Bohatalia (costumes), Jason Thompson (lighting), and Phil Allen (sound).

Felciano received a Tony nomination for playing Tobias in Sweeney Todd. His other stage credits include Cabaret, Saturday Night Fever, and Shockheaded Peter. Dussault received Tony nominations for Do Re Mi and Bajour; her other Broadway credits include The Sound of Music and Into the Woods. O’Hara received Tony nominations for her work in The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza. Her other Broadway credits include Sweet Smell of Success, Dracula, and Jekyll & Hyde.
