Eric Bentley to Offer ''Perspectives in Criticism'' at ATCA/NYC 2003 Conference

Critic, translator, teacher, playwright, and theorist Eric Bentley will share his views on theater criticism and the state of the theater during the American Theatre Critics Association/NYC 2003 Conference, to be held March 7-9, 2003 at New York Theatre Workshop (James Nicola artistic director, Lynn Moffat managing director).

Previous "Perspectives in Criticism" speakers have included Frank Rich, former theater critic for The New York Times; Robert Brustein of the Yale Repertory and American Repertory Theatre; and Linda Winer of Newsday.

This year's ATCA/NYC conference, entitled "Facing the Theatrical Future: Changes and Challenges Ahead," will also feature panels on Challenges in New Play Development, International Theater, and the "New" Musical.
