The musical charts the rise and fall of legendary silent film actor/director Charlie Chaplin (played on Broadway by Rob McClure) from his early days in the slums of London through his success in Hollywood, his many love affairs and marriages, and his eventual exile from the United States amidst charges of being a Communist.
The show features music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie) and Curtis. Drama Desk Award nominee Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow) directs and choreographs the production.
