Kritzerland to Release Inside Out, Welcome to Melodyland CDs in December

Kritzerland will release two new CDs in early December, a new issue of the 1996 original cast recording of Adryan Russ and Doug Haverty’s Inside Out, and Melody Hollis’ Welcome to Melodyland.

Inside Out centers on how the arrival of a new member in a therapy group proves to be a catalyst for change in all of the group members’ lives. The company features Ann Crumb, Harrriett D. Foy, Kathleen Mahony-Bennett, Jan Maxwell, Cass Morgan, and Julie Prosser. For the Kritzerland release, this recording long out of print has been completely re-mastered and re-packaged.

Welcome to Melodyland preserves Hollis’ cabaret debut at Sterling’s at Vitello’s. The album, recorded live, features such songs as “Part Of Your World,” “Hit Me With A Hot Note,” “The Boy From,” “Tomorrow,” “Let Me Sing And I’m Happy/Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me,” “Reflection/The Girl I Mean To Be,” “A Quiet Thing” and “Children Will Listen,” among others. Steve Hollis serves as musical director for the show and album, which features arrangements by John Boswell and the show’s creator and director Bruce Kimmel.
