Timothy Babcock, Tony Torn, et al. Set for Edward Einhorn and Henry Akona's Velvet Oratorio

The free-of-charge concerts will be held at The Bruno Walter Auditorium in The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts (at Lincoln Center) on Thursday, November 19 at 6pm and at Bohemian National Hall and Monday, November 30, at 7pm.
The piece is being presented in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, and as part of New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' upcoming festival, Performing Revolution in Central and Eastern Europe. Michael Midlarsky will serve as concert master, with musical direction by James Kennerley. Costumes are by Carla Gant, with video by Jared Mezzocchi.
The free tickets will be released on a first come first served basis at the Bruno Walter. For tickets at the Bohemian National Hall, call 646-422-3399.
