During the brief ceremony, Meadow, who proclaimed that it was "the best day of my life," recounted her first time visiting Sardi's, as a twelve year old following a matinee of the musical comedy Destry Rides Again. She admitted to not really enjoying the show, but the dinner left a lasting impression.
Meadow has worked with Manhattan Theatre Club since 1972.
