On Friday, October 1, the cast and creative team of Amy Herzog's After the Revolution started rehearsals at Playwrights Horizons, which will run from October 21-November 28. Carolyn Cantor is directing the production, which will open officially on November 10.

In the play, the brilliant, promising Emma Joseph proudly carries the torch of her family's Marxist tradition, devoting her life to the memory of her blacklisted grandfather. But when history reveals a shocking truth about the man himself, the entire family is forced to confront questions of honesty and allegiance they thought had been resolved.

The cast features Mark Blum, Peter Friedman, Meredith Holzman, David Margulies, Katharine Powell, Lois Smith, Elliot Villar, and Mare Winningham. The production will feature scenic design by Clint Ramos, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Fitz Patton.
