On Tuesday, October 5, Primary Stages' world premiere production of In Transit opened at 59E59 under the direction of Joe Calarco. Among the first nighters who attended an afterparty at the National Arts Club were playwright and screenwriter Jonathan Tolins, and actresses Annie Golden and Annaleigh Ashford.

This new a cappella musical, which mixes pop, reggae, soul, and the sounds of life on the subway, has a book, music, and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, and Sara Wordsworth. The cast features Steve French, Celisse Henderson, Hannah Laird, Chesney Snow, Graham Stevens, Denise Summerford, and Tommar Wilson.
