Mark Addy Joins Cast of National Theatre's Much Ado About Nothing

Film and stage star Mark Addy will play Dogberry alongside Simon Russell Beale and Zoe Wanamaker as Benedick and Beatrice in the National Theatre's production of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, which begins previews on December 10 at London's National Theatre. The production will be helmed by Nicholas Hytner, the National's artistic director, with sets by Vicki Mortimer, lighting by Mark Henderson, and music by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman.

The cast will also feature Andrew Woodall (Don John), Trevor Peacock (Verges), Gary Pillai (Friar Francis), Daniel Poyser (Borachio), John Burgess (Antonio), Susannah Fielding (Hero), Oliver Ford Davies (Leonato), Daniel Hawksford (Claudio), Maggie McCarthy (Ursula), and Julian Wadham (Don Pedro).

Addy most recently appeared on stage in the West End revival of Michael Frayn's Donkeys' Years His many film credits include The Full Monty, The Flintstones, A Knight's Tale, and Around the World in 80 Days. He also starred on the hit CBS sitcom Still Standing.
