The full cast and creative team have been announced for the national tour of Tony Award winner Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands, which will begin at San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre, November 11-December 10. The show will go on to play engagements in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Philadelphia.

Based on the Tim Burton film of the same name, this touching and witty gothic fairytale tells the story of a boy created by an eccentric inventor. With only scissors for hands, Edward must find his place in a strange new suburban world where the well-meaning community struggles to see past his appearance to the innocence and gentleness within.

The piece is directed, devised, and choreographed by Bourne, whose other credits include Swan Lake, Car Man, and Mary Poppins.
The music is composed, arranged, and adapted by Terry Davies, based on the original motion picture score by Danny Elfman. The original screenplay and co-adaptation are by Caroline Thompson. Set and costumes are by Lez Brotherston, lighting is by Howard Harrison, and sound is by Paul Groothuis.

This production will feature the original London company. The role of Edward is alternated by Sam Archer and Richard Winsor. Also featured in the cast are Scott Ambler, Kerry Biggin, Madelaine Brennan, Ross Carpenter, Gareth Charlton, Andrew Corbett, Gavin Eden, Andrew Galbraith, Sophia Dominique Hurdley, Steve Kirkham, Dena Lague, Rachel Lancaster, James Leece, Matthew Malthouse, Drew McOnie, Michela Meazza, Ebony Molina, Rachel Morrow, Etta Murfitt, Luke Murphy, Gemma Payne, Jake Samuels, Mikah Smillie, Mami Tomotani, Hannah Vassallo, Shaun Walters, Shelby Wlliams, Philip Willingham, and Chloe Wilkinson.
