Matt Bomer Joins Winter’s Tale Film

Matt Bomer has joined Akiva Goldsman‘s film version of Mark Helprin’s best-selling novel Winter’s Tale, according to Deadline.com.

The film, which will star Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, William Hurt, Will Smith, Russell Crowe, Lucy Griffiths, and Eva Marie Saint, is about a dying young woman (Findlay) who falls in love with a thief (Farrell) who breaks into her palatial home on the West Side of Manhattan. Bomer will play Farrell’s father.

Bomer appeared on Broadway and Los Angeles in one-night-only readings of Dustin Lance Black‘s play 8. He is best known for his portrayal of Neal Caffrey on television’s White Collar and his other film and television credits include Magic Mike and Glee. In addition, he will play Felix Turner in the film version of Larry Kramer’s play The Normal Heart .
