Theater for the New City is set to present the American premieres of Three Sisters and a Priest and Suicide Club in a double bill of plays by Mario Fratti, playing October 4-21. Stephan Morrow will direct.

In Three Sisters and a Priest, three elderly, wealthy sisters are fascinated and confused by the Pope’s explanation of heaven and hell, so summon a priest to clarify for them. The cast will feature Deborah Offner, Carol Tammer, and Mark Ethan.

Suicide Club is a tragicomedy in which, under false pretenses, a mother has joined a support group for survivors of family suicides. Maria Deasy, Connor Moore, and Cheryl Freeman will perform.

The design team for the plays will include Mark Marcante (set design) and Alexander Bartenieff (lighting design).
