Sandra Oh is set to star in the Public Theater production of Diana Son’s Satellites, to be directed by Michael Grief. The show will begin previews on May 23, 2006 and performances will continue through June 25; the official opening date is yet to be announced.

The play concerns Nina and Miles, an interracial couple who have a rock thrown through the window of their home after they and their new baby move into a new neigborhood. Oh, who will play Nina, previously appeared in the world premiere of Son’s Stop Kiss at the Public, for which she received a Theatre World award. She was also seen in Dogeaters at the La Jolla Playhouse and in The Vagina Monologues Off-Broadway.

Oh’s film credits include Sideways, Last Night, Under the Tuscan Sun, The Red Violin, Waking the Dead, and The Princess Diaries. Among her upcoming film projects are Night Listener, with Robin Williams and Toni Collette, and the independent features Sorry Haters and Cake. On television, Oh stars in the hit ABC series Grey’s Anatomy, for which she recently received her first Emmy Award nomination.
