Broadway's Marquee Lights Will Be Dimmed in Tribute to Lauren Bacall

The Tony winner was 89 when she passed away on Tuesday.

Two-time Tony winner Lauren Bacall died on August 12.

Broadway's marquee lights will be dimmed Friday, August 15, at 7:45pm in tribute to two-time Tony Award winner Lauren Bacall, who died August 12 following a stroke at the age of 89.

Bacall won her Tonys for her performances in Applause (1970) and Woman of the Year (1981). She also received the Drama Desk Award for Applause. Her other Broadway credits include Waiting in the Wings, Cactus Flower, Goodbye, Charlie, and Johnny 2 X 4.

Her notable films include The Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, and The Mirror Has Two Faces, for which she received her only Academy Award nomination. Bacall received an honorary Oscar for Lifetime Achievement in 2010.
