The Robert Chesley/Jane Chambers Playwrights Project will present a free reading of Tennessee Williams' one-act The Parade, or Approaching the End of a Summer at ART/NY (520 8th Avenue) on Saturday, August 25 at 7:30pm. Mark Finley serves as director.

Completed in the early 1940s, revised in the 1960s, and first performed in 2006, the semi-autobiographical work tells the story of a young playwright dealing with his unrequited love for another man.

Paul Caiola, Emily Hartford, Irene Longshore, and Jeremy Lawrence will be featured in the reading.

The reading series is presented by TOSOS ("The Other Side of Silence"), an organization dedicated to preserving the theatrical heritage of the LGBT community.
