Barrington Stage Company's Musical Theatre Lab will present The Longing and Short of It - Songs by Daniel Maté at 8pm on August 7 and 8, with musical direction by Christopher D. Littlefield and direction by William Finn. The revue stars Maté, along with Marie-France Arcilla, Heath Calvert, bassist Carl Oman, percussionist Josh Samuels, and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams.

Maté co-wrote The Trouble with Doug, a Kafka-inspired musical that premiered recently at New York's CAP 21 Studios, and his songs have been performed in New York at Joe's Pub, the Duplex, and the York Theatre.
