Based on Manuel Puig's novel of the same name, Spider Wowman focuses on Molina, a homosexual inmate in a Latin American country who spends his days fantasizing about the seductive screen goddess Aurora. Eventually, he is forced to share his cell with Valentin, a macho Marxist revolutionary, and the pair develops a strong if dangerous bond.
