August’s offerings in the Manhattan club world may be slimmer than usual, but there’s more than enough must-see, must-hear acts to keep one busy!

Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency continues to offer an extensive array of acts this month, including singer-songwriter Jimmy Webb (August 5, 12), the fabulous Natalie Douglas (August 6), award-winning jazz vocalist Allan Harris (August 7-8), Pucci Amanda Jhones (August 11), Judy Wexler (August 13-14), Peter Lemongello (August 15 and 22), Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano (August 20-21), Michael Amante (August 24-25), and Judy Carmichael (August 31)

The always exciting goings-on at Birdland include appearances by the newly formed group Limsakimbo (August 3), Victoria Shaw (August 10), Leny Andrade (August 12-15), Nick Adams (August 17), and theater and cabaret favorite Sally Mayes, with a host of guest stars including Jim Caruso, George Dvorsky, Lina Koutrakos, Billy Stritch, and Lynne Wintersteller (August 24).

The Metropolitan Room continues to serves up a variety of top-notch acts including Susan Egan and Georgia Stitt (August 1-2), Daryl Glenn and JoLynn Burks in the award-winning Nashville (August 2), Michael Holland and Kevin Dozier (August 3), Joyce Lyons (August 5, 12, 19), Joan Crowe (August 6, 13, 20, 27), Andrea McArdle (August 6-11), Meg Flather (August 13), Eddie Bruce (August 15-16), and Jason Danieley and the Frontier Heroes (August 17, 21-23).

Joe’s Pub‘s something-for-everyone offerings include Rachael Bay Jones (August 2), Spencer Day (August 7-8), Emma Hunton (August 9), Tracy Bonham (August 13), Matt Doyle (August 17, 27), Jarrod Emick and Eric Anthony (August 24), Our Hit Parade (August 26), Saycon Sengbloh (August 30), and Nathan Lee Graham (August 31).

Elsewhere around town, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will host Reach the Sky, a concert of the music of songwriter Bobby Cronin (August 3), as well as the inimitable Joan Rivers (August 4, 5, 11, 12, 19, 20); The Triad is home to such acts as Lee Summers (August 3), the new series Erotic Broadway (August 10, 17), and Vickilyn Reynolds (August 22); and the new Kathleen Downey’s Granite Room at City Hall Restaurant will host singer KT Sullivan (August 20, 27).
