The Culture Project will present the New York premiere of Douglas C. Wager’s In Conflict and Campbell Scott in Ronan Noone’s solo piece The Atheist at its new home at the Barrow Street Theatre.

Wager’s piece, which begins previews on September 18, is adapted from Yvonne Latty’s book about the experience of 17 Iraq War veterans. The Athiest, which begins previews on October 6, has previously been seen at the Culture Project, Boston’s Huntington Theatre, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival. The show, to be directed by Justin Waldman, focuses on Augustine Early, a crooked journalist who makes an art of clawing his way up the professional ladder.

Scott’s Broadway credits include Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Ah! Wilderness, and Hay Fever. His film and television credits include Longtime Companion, Dying Young, The Spanish Prisoner, and Six Degrees.
