Altar Boyz, Spelling Bee Casts to Appear at Barnes & Noble

The casts of the hit shows Altar Boyz and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will be making appearances at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Center (Broadway and 66th Street).

On Thursday, July 28 at 6pm, original Altar Boyz stars Tyler Maynard, Ryan Duncan, Andy Karl, David Josefsberg, and Scott Porter will appear at the store for a moderated discussion, performance, and CD signing. Maynard recently left the production to star in the Vineyard’s Miracle Brothers; Karl and Josefsberg will depart next month to begin rehearsals for the upcoming Off-Broadway musical Slut.

On Wednesday, August 3 at 5:30pm, the entire cast of Spelling Bee and composer William Finn will be at the store for a CD signing. As part of the event, the cast will perform “Why We Like Spelling,” a song that’s included as a bonus track on the CD but is not in the show itself.
