Alex Newell, best known for playing the role Unique on the Fox television series Glee, has joined the lineup of performers for the upcoming Broadway Celebrates Pride Week concert at 54 Below. Newell will be joined and accompanied by composer Scott Alan.

Newell will share the stage with a roster of performers that includes Tony nominee Robin De Jesús, Motown The Musical's Bryan Terrell Clark, Tracy McDowell, and Mykal Kilgore; Wicked's Christine Dwyer, Alexa Green, and Kat Hennessey; If/Then's Janet Krupin; and Kinky Boots's Robert Pendilla and Kevin Smith Kirkwood, among many others.

Newell is currently at work on his debut album, to be released by Deep Well Records. He recently released a cover of Sigma's "Nobody to Love."

Broadway Celebrates Pride Week plays 54 Below on June 23 at 9:30pm. The concert features musical direction by Michael McAssey.
