Charles S. Dutton Set for Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s 6th Annual Summer Gala

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center is set to present its 6th annual Summer Gala, July 21 at 6pm in the Sunken Garden on the theater’s grounds.

The event will begin with cocktails and silent auction, which will be followed by dinner and special program featuring stage and film actor Charles S. Dutton.

Dutton has received Tony nominations for his work in The Piano Lesson and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Emmy nominations for roles on The Practice and Without a Trace. He has also received recognition from the NAACP for his lead role in the critically acclaimed comedy/drama series ROC, on which he also served as executive producer.

The annual gala benefits the O’Neill’s year-round activities. This year’s Honorary
Committee includes Whoopi Goldberg, Angela Bassett and Courtney Vance, James Bundy, Pat and Jim Calhoun, Carolyn Greenspan and Marshall Ruben, Ruth and Stephen Hendel, Kim Magloire and Charles Nafie, Sara and Douglas Mercer, Dyanne and John Rafal, Pat Daily, O’Neill Chairman Thomas Viertel, and Betsy and George White.
