Stage and screen star Daniel Radcliffe served as master of ceremonies at the Shubert Foundation/MTI Broadway JR. Student Celebration, held at the Majestic Theatre on Monday, June 6.

At the event, hundreds of students from middle and intermediate New York City Public Schools in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan had their Broadway debut, with each school performing a song from their production of a student version of a classic musical.

The performance was the year-end culminating celebration of the musical theatre mentorship program, which seeks to build self-sustaining theatre programs in public schools with limited arts programming.

Radcliffe is currently starring in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and is best known for his work in the title role of the Harry Potter series of films.
