Actress Gale Storm, who shot to fame in the television shows My Little Margie and The Gale Storm Show, has died at age 87, according to The Associated Press.

The news service reports that Storm worked on stage in such musicals as The Old Maid and the Thief, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, South Pacific and Finian's Rainbow.

Storm also appeared in numerous movies, including Tom Brown's School Days, The Dude Goes West, and The Texas Rangers.

She is survived by her four children Phillip, Peter, Paul and Susanna.
