Bobby Cannavale, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bernadette Peters, Alison Pill, John Patrick Shanley, and Daniel Sunjata come out for a reading of Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train. Plus: Stephen Collins, Andy Karl, Drew Lachey, Orfeh, and Kate Rockwell!
On Sunday night, the LAByrinth Theatre Company hosted a special benefit reading of the hit play Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, directed by the company’s co-artistic director, Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Among the stars who attended this special event was two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, author of the recently-released children’s book Broadway Barks.
Here’s handsome Daniel Sunjata, star of TV’s Rescue Me and such plays as Cyrano de Bergerac and Take Me Out.
Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale and gal pal Alison Pill, currently starring in the Broadway-bound production of Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty, were also in the audience.
Theatre for a New Audience’s Jeffrey Horowitz and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley also came out for the reading.
On Monday night, the Public Theater hosted the book party for Broadway Tails: Hearfelt Stories of Rescued Dogs Who Became Stars. Author Bill Berloni (right) — who will sign copies at the Drama Book Shop on July 17 — was joined by such friends as New York City Ballet star Tom Gold and Pi.
The lovely Jessica Grové and Ashley worked with Berloni on The Wizard of Oz.
Here’s current Legally Blonde star Kate Rockwell with one of that show’s adorable pooches, Chico.
Rockwell’s delightful co-stars, real-life couple Orfeh and Andy Karl posed with Lewis.
Marissa O’Donnell and Lola were among the stars of the 30th anniversary production of Annie.
Finally, on Tuesday night, Stephen Collins (right) and Drew Lachey took over the roles of King Arthur and Patsy in the long-running Broadway hit Monty Python’s Spamalot.
