Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz, Tom Hewitt, and Laura Marie Duncan head the cast of the national tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which will begin on August 6 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. However, Butz will appear only in the tour’s first six cities; Timothy Gulan will take over the role of Freddy Benson beginning with the engagement at the Ohio Theater in Columbus on October 24.

The production will feature Hollis Resnik as Muriel, Drew McVety as André, and Jenifer Foote as Jolene. The ensemble includes Todd Anderson, Tim Crasky, Beth Curry, Christopher DeAngelis, Ashley Blair, Christopher Freeman, Rod Harrelson, Danny Herman, Ken Krugman, Juliana Laufer, Emily Loftiss, Natalie Nucci, Martin Samuel, Kim Shriver, Sarrah Strimel, Francis Toumbakaris, and Nicole Van Giesen.

As on Broadway, the show will be directed by Jack O’Brien, with choreography by Jerry Mitchell. Based on the 1988 MGM film of the same title, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has a book by Jeffrey Lane and a score by David Yazbek, with set design by David Rockwell, costumes by Gregg Barnes, lighting by Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.

Butz won the 2005 Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Freddy Benson. His previous Broadway credits include Wicked, Rent, and Thou Shalt Not. Hewitt, who will play Lawrence Jameson, has starred on Broadway in Dracula, The Rocky Horror Show, and The Lion King. Duncan is currently in the ensemble of Scoundrels and has understudied the roles of Christine and Muriel. She previously starred on Broadway in The Full Monty.
