Lincoln Center Theater Extends Run of The Light in the Piazza Through January 1

Lincoln Center Theater has extended the run of The Light in the Piazza at the Vivian Beaumont Theater through Sunday, January 1, 2006.
The production won six 2005 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 5: Best Actress in a Musical (Victoria Clark), Best Score (Adam Guettel); Best Set Design of a Musical (Michael Yeargan); Best Costume Design of a Musical (Catherine Zuber); Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Christopher Akerlind); and Best Orchestrations (Adam Guettel, Bruce Coughlin, and Ted Sperling). It also won five Drama Desk Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Directed by Bartlett Sher, The Light in the Piazza has a book by Craig Lucas. In addition to Clark, the show stars Matthew Morrison, Kelli O’Hara, Mark Harelik, Michael Berresse, Sarah Uriarte Berry, and Patti Cohenour. The original cast album was recently released by Nonesuch Records.
